What do I need to do to become a Christian?
I BELIEVE someone out there surfing the web right now would love to be sure that God is going
to let them in to heaven when they die and that someone out there has a desire in their heart to know Jesus Christ
as their Savior & Lord and to know for sure that He is going to take them to heaven, but they're not quite sure
right now if they'll make it in.
Is that someone YOU?
Wouldn't you like to know for sure how to get to heaven and to know that Christ really can save you from the permanant penalty
of your sin?
If so, join me in praying this prayer of salvation in which you can admit to the Lord that you
are a sinner and trust Him to save you.
I would urge you to pray along with us and invite the Lord Jesus to come into your life right now because
we want to help lead you into a prayer that admits your short-comings and to transfer your trust to Christ
who can prepare you for life on earth and even the death of the body.
What you can do right where you are, is to simply humble your heart and confess these words that I
am about to say.
I suggest that you read the prayer first, then personalize it if you mean it in your heart. It's
not the words themselves that is going to save you, but what you speak in your heart that God will hear.
Now, if these words express the condition of your heart, you'll be received by Christ.

"Oh God, I know that I am a sinner.
I know that I cannot save myself.
I ask for Your forgiveness and thank You for sending Jesus Christ to die
on the cross for sinners just like me.
Right now, I transfer life into the hands of the Lord and as best as I know how, I come to You
believing that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and I believe that He is the only One able to cleanse me from all unrighteousness
and that He will accept me as one of His own - I trust Him for that.
I believe that Jesus Christ rose from the grave to prove
that He has authority over hell and death.
I now look to Christ to be my personal Lord and Savior, to help me be more like Him, and to teach me
how not to sin as I have so grieviously against Him, in the mighty powerful name of Jesus, I pray.

God knows your heart: if you have prayed this prayer and really meant it, He has received you and accepted
you on Christ's behalf so that you can spend eternity with Him in heaven.

Now, this is also very important:
You need to be around other believers as much as possible and as soon as possible to help answer the
flood of questions that are now springing up in your heart & mind.
Find a Bible believing, Christ-centered, church that will help you in this new journey of life.
Here's 3 very good reasons why fellowship is extremely important:
1) You have defected to God- Now that you have turned to our Lord and Saviour Jesus
Christ and have turned away from the enemy of your soul, whose name is Satan (a.k.a.,
the devil, Lucifer, Beelzebub), is really not happy right now.
2) You have enraged your enemy- The devil's hatred for mankind has just intensified towards
you because he has lost your soul and there is no chance of him ever regaining it.
3) You will have to resist him- The Truth is, you cannot loose your new-found salvation through
the love of God which is in Christ Jesus, but the devil (also called the father of lies) will try to make you a) think
that you are not saved, b) you cannot change your ways from bad to good, or c) that you can loose what you have just received
from the Lord.
This load can be made a lot easier to bear when you are around people who have experienced the blessings
and favor of God along with the attacks and accusations of men and the devil, yet they've endured.
So, start your quest for a church immediately and attend its Bible study group, too.
Now share your new found faith, hope, and love with someone else (and tell us, too!)
